Jamie and Judy Redfern are the key people behind the creation, development and amazing success of the Australian Showbusiness Academy. Jamie, one of Australia's most successful international entertainers, and Judy, a former professional dancer and model, opened the ASA's doors in 2002 recieving more than 1000 eager enquiries. The school had developed from the Jamie Redfern Singing Academy, which had been Melbourne's premier singing school for 22 years at that stage. Jamie and Judy believed that they had the ability to create a professional, family friendly performing arts centre, where people could study the performing arts at heavily discounted prices without sacrificing quality, and as a result, the Australian Showbusiness Academy was born. With it's headquarters located in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria, the ASA is the only performing arts centre to have been a finalist in the Wyndham business awards every year it has entered the prestigious event. |
